When you decide to hire a campervan for your holiday in Australia, you’re in for a treat. There’s so much to see and do and a campervan is the perfect way to explore the best of Australia. Today, We’ve put together a two quick campervan tips to keep in mind:
Campervan Tip 1 – Choose 4WD for Off-road Adventures
If you’re dreaming of camping on the beach or off the beaten track, be sure you hire a 4WD campervan (or our 4WD + camper trailer package). With a four wheel drive, you have so much more opportunity to see the outback. You won’t be limited to sealed roads and you can ‘freedom camp’, meaning you can stop overnight wherever you please (as long as it’s permitted by local council).
Campervan Tip 2 – Pack These Essential Items
In our experience, a few essential items can make your entire camping experience much more comfortable. These include:
- Toilet Paper – to be certain you’re never caught without it!
- Insect Spray (aka Bug Repellent) – transforms a painful mosquito-ruined evening into the relaxing, peaceful sunset you were hoping for!
- First Aid kit – being prepared for cuts and bruises makes little accidents far less traumatic.
- Sunscreen – this is especially important in Australia where you can get sunburnt in as little as 10 minutes.
